Firefighters were called to a torched car in the heart of the city this morning.
A car was found ablaze on Constitution Avenue near the Civic Olympic Swimming Pool in the city about 9.30am.
ACT Fire and Rescue was called, and firefighters were still extinguishing the fire about 9.50am.
The incident is expected to be handed over to ACT Policing.The cause of the fire is unclear.
Firefighters are typically called to one car fire a day in the ACT, and is not uncomon for the Emergency Services Agency’s incident logs sto record two or three torched cars each day.
