For the record, Canberra Girls' Grammar School principal Anne Coutts, pictured, and her singing partner Dave Smith were crowned ''fund-raiser extraordinaires'' after raising the highest amount - $6300 - for SIDS and Kids ACT in its recent celebrity singing competition. The judges' choice were Prime7 newsreader Natalie Forrest and Dave Evans who sang I Will Follow Him from Sister Act, the pair donning nun's habits for the performance. We hear ACT Liberal Senator Gary Humphries was a real crowd pleaser, teaming with Maigan Fowler to sing Time of My Life from Dirty Dancing, complete with a ''stylised'' Johnny-Baby lift.
And Jerrabomberra teacher Mardi Croke, with Peter Ricardo, sang Cher's classic If I Could Turn Back Time, her musical mea culpa after she was dragged into American TV host Craig Ferguson's anti-Canberra rant earlier this year.
The night raised about $25,000, so job well done!
