August 10, 2012

A 28-year-old man stands accused of a June crime spree throughout the city, stealing cars, burgling homes and nicking fast food.

Joel William Heard was charged with 21 fresh offences in the ACT Magistrates Court yesterday. He was already in custody, and had pleaded not guilty to an unrelated string of offences.

Heard is now also accused of burglaries in Braddon, Kingston, Griffith, Turner and Campbell. He has also been charged with stealing a car, dishonestly appropriating cab fares and stealing from a string of service stations and McDonald's outlets. He is due to face court again in September.
