Police want to speak with two boys following a suspicious grass fire in Forde yesterday.
The youths were seen running from the scene, near Justice Kelly St in Forde, shortly before the fire began at 1.30pm.
A resident saw the smoke and used hose to fight the blaze, assisted by ACT Fire and Rescue who arrived a short time later to completely extinguish the flames.
The fire burned an area of about 100 square metres.
Conditions in the area yesterday were windy and police say the impact could have been more severe, had the resident not intervened.
The two youths were later seen in the greater Forde area.
Both are believed to be in their early to mid-teens. One had red-brown hair and was wearing an acqua-coloured hoodie, dark-coloured shorts and a backpack.
The second was wearing a dark-coloured hoodie, with black pants, white shoes and has short, brown hair.
Both had skateboards.
Police want to speak to anyone who might know or have information about the pair. Contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or got to act.crimestoppers.com.au.
