Miraculous escape for passenger thrown from rolling car.
An English man has survived relatively unscathed after being thrown through the sunroof of a rolling car.
The man, 31-year-old Dan Page, told Britain’s Daily Mail he’d been on a date with an old school friend when she lost control of her Peugeot 406, hit a kerb and rolled into someone’s front yard.
In the spectacular crash, which was captured on a security camera, Page is flipped through the shattered sunroof of the Peugeot and lands face down on the lawn. After a moment laying prone, he dusts himself off and checks on the driver. Both escaped with minor injuries.
Page, who sells double-glazing for a living, told the Daily Mail he was glad the sunroof glass had smashed on impact during the roll.
“As a double-glazing salesman I wouldn’t usually condone a flimsy bit of glass - but I’m glad this shattered upon impact. If it hadn’t of then I would have been slammed into the roof and I’d be dead,” he told the paper.
“It was just a freak of physics that I came out of the top and survived.”
