Playsuits, pastels and paisley prints. Stella McCartney goes retro with her new range.
Stella McCartney showed off her latest collection with a garden party.
The designer debuted her new Resort line in New York City on Monday. Guests sipped on lemonade from stands dotted around, while the entertainment came courtesy of a brass band and balloons gave the bash a fun feel.
Models wandered around the party, showing off the designs in a relaxed and casual way.
Among the pieces were bell bottom trousers in pastel shades such as pale pink, paired with a jacket and simple top in the same shade. The same look came in yellow, while for those who aren't keen on all-over colour there were animal-print playsuits and shorts and swing tops in paisley prints.
Other key shades were baby blue and pale orange, while for the more serious there were houndstooth suits and jackets made of the same checked fabric.
Pale blue shirts, white trousers and over-sized cream jackets also featured, while a long pleated skirt was one of the prettiest pieces on offer.
The event drew a host of A-list stars, with Anne Hathaway opting for a simple white summer suit and coming with her fiance Adam Shulman. Also there were Solange Knowles, Jim Carrey and Amy Poehler.
