STEPHANIE MULLER AND ALEXANDER TAFFS
PEPPERS CREEK, POKOLBIN, NSW
The meeting
Alexander and Stephanie first met while they were at college together. "We were instant friends but we secretly shared a few kisses behind the library wall!" says Stephanie. It wasn't until six years later that they turned their library fling into something more. "We are friends first. We can easily laugh together and generally just enjoy each others company," says the 27 year-old.
The proposal
The proposal came three days into their trip to Port Douglas when Alexander and Stephanie decided to go diving at the Great Barrier Reef. "While we were snorkeling Alex tapped me on the shoulder and dived down deep and produced a diamond ring from under a rock!" she says. "You could say that he got down on bended flipper!"
The wedding day
They wanted a small and intimate wedding where they could sit by the fire with their 80 guests and enjoy each other's company. They went for a winter in the Hunter Valley style wedding. "Besides it being the best day of our lives, we loved the fact that we had a some guests come from England to share in our celebrations," says Stephanie. One of the highlights was while they were getting ready - one of Stephanie's nephew's looked up and said to her: "When do we go to the marrying parade and the big party?"
"Too cute!" says Stephaine.
The dress
Stephanie wore a pink silk, mermaid style gown by Elizabeth De Varga.
The cake
They had a cupcake tower made from dark chocolate mud cupcakes and a chocolate mud cake with cookies and cream for cutting. It came from Sugar Rush in Newcastle.
The photography
The photos were taken by MMG Photography.
The honeymoon
They went to Vietnam.
